Marnia is a Mexican American, Philadelphia based actress born and raised in Mexico who has participated and worked in web series, films, table readings, shorts, and student films, with additional set and modeling experience in NY, Atlanta, Phoenix, Orlando, Miami, and New Orleans.
Her training experience includes the Stanislavsky , Meisner and Method techniques , Character Development, Voiceover , Lucid body, Rasas , Improv , Scene Study , Firearms Tactics and Act Tactical for TV & Film.
Besides working and auditioning for TV, Film and V.O, Marnia is working on directing and producing a play in her local area. She actively trains every week in a local actor's lab where she has the opportunity to work with an acting coach and fellow actors with plenty years of experience on set and on stage.
Some of Marnia's on screen versatile character roles have been a detective in a film production in NJ, a struggling tormented mother with alcohol and substance issues, a Latin dancer and painter, a renowned writer and literature college professor battling cancer, a charismatic bubbly best friend in a girls night out, an abused and robbed immigrant single mother, a tarot fortune teller, and several roles as therapists and doctors.
An actress who can play 2 sides of the same coin, from mischievous, charm, , bubbly, UWS (upper west side), Yogi BF, Hot mess kind of girl but in a good way, to an opposite extreme commanding boss lady who does not take any attitude from no one, a woman in a mission, the kind of woman that when her feet touch the ground each morning, the Devil itself trembles in distress.
Living in a household immersed in her Mexican background and Latin heritage, she undeniably brings an unapologetic perspective and flavor to the characters she joyfully and passionately brings to life. Her instincts are tangible and her comedy chops are effortless with great timing, proudly Mexican style, inevitably come with the territory, if you know what that means, well you know!
Marnia is fluent in Spanish with two nationalities that have opened more opportunities as an actress and voice over artist, participating in Healthcare, Education, Traveling, and Tourism ads and campaigns. Most recently she is working with a dialect coach to increase her versatility.
